Rookie Ledger helps collectors turn card photos into organized collection records. That makes privacy pretty concrete here: your account, your card photos, your collection records, and the tools that process them.
Rookie Ledger is currently in private beta. Features may evolve before public release, and material privacy changes will be reflected through updates to this policy.
The Short Version
- Your card photos and collection records are yours.
- Rookie Ledger stores photos and card data so the app can help you review, crop, identify, organize, and manage your collection.
- Original images are meant to be preserved. Crops and RL Boundary results are derived from the original image, not replacements for it.
- AI Assist and RL Grade run only when those tools are enabled and used.
- RL Grade is a fun Rookie Ledger score, not a professional grade prediction.
- eBay sold-comps lookup uses card search terms, not your eBay account.
- Public signup, public checkout, production iOS sync, standalone OCR, and public community-sharing features are not active in the current product.
- You can contact us to request access, correction, export, or deletion.
What We Collect
Depending on how you use Rookie Ledger, we may collect:
- Your email address, account role, and login/session information.
- Collection records, card details, values, tags, notes, and workflow status.
- Uploaded card photos, front photos, back photos, Capture Inbox photos, and original images.
- RL Boundary and crop metadata.
- AI Assist and RL Grade outputs when those tools are used.
- AI usage records, such as action type, success or error, token usage, and number of input photos.
- eBay sold-comps search terms and returned comp data when sold-comps lookup is used.
- Basic technical logs needed to run and protect the app.
We do not store plaintext passwords.
Photos, Original Images, And RL Boundary
Rookie Ledger is built for a non-destructive photo workflow.
The original image is the evidence. RL Boundary, crop previews, listing exports, and AI review are derived from it. Crops do not overwrite the original image.
RL Boundary helps identify the card or holder area in a photo. You can review and adjust boundaries instead of treating an auto-crop or suggested crop as final.
AI Assist, OCR, And RL Grade
AI Assist can help read visible text and card details from photos. RL Grade can draft a fun scorecard for centering, corners, edges, and surface.
When you use those tools, Rookie Ledger may process selected photos, crop previews or original images, card metadata, and RL Boundary metadata through an AI provider.
Current text reading happens through AI Assist. Separate OCR is not currently a standalone production feature.
AI can be wrong. Review and correct card identity, condition, value, and listing decisions before relying on them.
eBay Sold Comps
When eBay sold-comps lookup is enabled, Rookie Ledger sends card search terms and identity details to eBay marketplace data services.
Rookie Ledger does not currently ask you to connect an eBay account. We do not currently store your eBay login, buyer details, seller details, order data, messages, or eBay payment information.
Payments
Public checkout and payment processing are not active in the current product.
If paid software access, subscriptions, digital dock files, printed docks, or other payments are added later, a payment processor such as Stripe may process payment details. Rookie Ledger does not store full payment card numbers.
Cookies And Login
When account login is enabled, Rookie Ledger uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. The cookie is designed to be inaccessible to browser JavaScript, limited in duration, and protected in production with secure-cookie settings.
Rookie Ledger does not currently use advertising cookies in the app.
Where Data Is Stored
Depending on the deployment, Rookie Ledger may use:
- Render for application hosting.
- PostgreSQL-based database infrastructure for account, session, collection, Capture Inbox, and AI usage records.
- Cloudflare services, including Cloudflare R2, for routing, security, and photo/object storage.
- OpenAI for AI Assist and RL Grade when those tools are enabled and used.
- eBay for sold-comps lookup when that tool is enabled and used.
- Stripe for payment processing if payment workflows are added later.
Local development may use local files instead of cloud storage.
Security
Rookie Ledger uses reasonable safeguards to protect user information. These include account authentication, secure handling of passwords, access controls for private records and photos, upload limits, file checks, rate limits, secure handling of service credentials, and encrypted communications where applicable.
No online service is perfectly secure. Use a strong password, keep it private, and contact us if something looks wrong.
Your Choices
You can edit or delete many records inside the app. You can also contact us to request:
- Access to your account or collection information.
- Correction of inaccurate information.
- Export of your collection information where reasonably available.
- Deletion of your account, collection records, Capture Inbox records, and user-scoped photos.
Self-service account deletion is not currently implemented.
Retention
Rookie Ledger keeps account data, collection records, card photos, original images, Capture Inbox records, and AI usage records as long as needed to provide the service, preserve your collection workflow, troubleshoot issues, protect the app, or meet legal obligations.
Full account deletion may require support assistance.

Rookie Ledger does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
